Couldn’t wait

November 11, 2007 at 9:24 pm (church, life happenings)

So, I’m back in Atlanta again for one last weekend for a while. It’s been a great time having some of our volunteers see North Point Community Church and the large scale version of what we do at Access. (Keep an eye on the Access blog for an article I wrote about a story this morning.)

This evening we headed to Buckhead Church to catch worship at the service there. We saw Carlos – or as he’s known here “Los” – at lunch and asked him how service went this morning. He said it was great and assured us that we did not want to be late just like his blog said.

We made it extra early to see a few different parts of the building and then into worship to check out the service. The opener was absolutely amazing. Check out Los’ blog to see a clip and see comments from others. See a couple pics (my camera died) on the Flickr roll.

This was from Jeff the campus pastor at Buckhead a few days ago:

This Sunday, we begin a new two-part series entitled Illusions. We’re going to kick it off with an opening song that some of you will love. Others, well, maybe not so much.

In any event, be sure to get there early. Love it or hate it, you definitely don’t want to miss it.

(I love working at a church that’s willing to take risks.)

See you Sunday.

Jeff

If you’re from the North Point family and reading this, I’d just like to say a huge thanks for always making me feel welcome let alone welcoming in my volunteers. It means more to me then you’ll ever know.
